To enhance Loughton Fire Station’s electrical infrastructure, an upgrade to the existing switch panel was necessary. The top section of the old panel board was removed, leaving only the base that houses the service head and meter. Above the base, 150mm galvanized trunking was installed to support the installation of new distribution boards.
The second image showcases the completed project. A new main panel board was installed to the left, supplying dedicated sub-boards for power and lighting. Additionally, an alert lighting board was strategically installed to activate specific lighting circuits during fire calls, ensuring optimal visibility for firefighters during emergency responses.
